Wonder Woman and Supergirl are lovers in Dark Knights of Steel and Wonder Woman has always been an LGBTQ+ icon – despite what some hate groups think. Is she gay, bisexual, or straight? Zala-El is also a Princess and sister of the resident Superman. Seemingly not content with de-gaying Wonder Woman, DC consistently finds other things for her to do — like dying, becoming a straight mother and reminiscing about her deceased boyfriend.

Sadly, this has never been proudly and unabashedly portrayed in any of her adventures since her debut in She comes from the all-female island paradise of Themyscira, where men were forbidden and immortal women warriors — known as Amazons — lived blissfully for millennia; the implication being that lesbian relationships were the norm.
As far as I can tell, cynical commercial reasons seem to lie at the heart of this cover-up: a queer Wonder Woman would be banned in many countries, and less marketable to conservative households — therefore generating less revenue for DC.
Sounds like corporate greed… but at what cost? In the comics, she’s dated both men and women, most notably Steve Trevor, Superman, Batman, an Amazon woman named Kasia, and Alethea, an Amazon Stablewoman. Yet Wonder Woman herself is notably absent.
Wonder Woman is one of DC Comics' most iconic characters, and though her sexuality has long been a topic of conversation, it was confirmed long ago. As a champion of love, Wonder Woman opposes homophobia. In the DCEU, Steve Trevor is, until now, her only love, so we’ll have to wait to see how her love life unfolds.
